For babies who sleep on their tummy... please note!
For safety reasons, babies who sleep on their tummy during their first 12 months must not sleep on anything soft, as this can be dangerous. We therefore recommend using the Woolskins hide responsibly! Always pay attention when your child is lying or sleeping on their tummy and make sure your little one remains supervised at all times.

Features of Essential Merino (medicinal) sheepskin
Merino wool/hide is known for the finer hairs of the Merino sheep, which makes it feel slightly softer against the skin. The hairs are finer and closer together, making the hide more compact. Like all our other hides, the wool fibres are breathable. This helps your baby maintain a stable temperature and keeps your little one dry and comfortable. Cool in summer and warm in winter.
This medicinal sheepskin is a carefully selected, medicinally tanned sheepskin, preserving as many of the hide’s beneficial and healthy properties as possible. It is specially suitable for babies and people with sensitive skin. This Baby-Care sheepskin comes from English sheep and has a very soft and compact structure. The wool fibres are breathable and regulate temperature: cool in summer and warm in winter.
Due to the tanning method (medicinal), the hide is rich in lanolin, a wool fat with many beneficial and healthy properties. Lanolin nourishes and protects the skin, has antibacterial properties and helps make the hide dirt-repellent.
The medicinal sheepskin is washable, but please note that washing is not necessary before first use. Thanks to its natural antibacterial properties, the hide only needs to be washed when it is very dirty and can no longer be cleaned with, for example, a washcloth. Airing it outdoors and brushing it is often enough to keep the hide looking beautiful for a long time.

Our wool consists of a pile of 100% wool fibers. The natural wool gives it a soft, warm, authentic look.
We work with soft, warm wool in three different types. Felted, also known as fulled wool, is a soft, compact, natural wool fabric that feels wonderfully warm. Thumbled has a full, woolly, cuddly-soft texture. Our Teddy wool is also soft and woolly, but has more flexibility and stretch, making the fabric feel extra flexible and comfortable.
